Youth Ministries

Cokesbury UMC youth are a group of teenagers who love each other and love Jesus. We spend time together learning about Him and having fun. Take a minute to check out our programs and events and drop us an email if you have any questions. We would love to see you at one of our programs THIS WEEK!

Upcoming Youth Events

Youth Week -- July 12 - 15: This will be a week where we spend our mornings volunteering around the community and around the church, then spend our nights doing something fun!! Cost of the week will be $20 to offset meal and trip costs. July 15th, the final night will include a conoe trip.

Stateside Mission Trip to Chalmette, LA -- August 2nd - 6th: If you are interested, please email Kristen ASAP! The cost will be $100 per person, and we will be raising another $100 per person to pay for projects once we get there. Middle and high school allowed!!

Youth Small Groups
Middle School meets every other Tuesday. Girls -- contact Julie (602-0184).
Guys -- contact Chuck (380-5177).

HIgh School Girls & Guys meet Tuesdays at Kristen's apartment.

Sunday School
Sunday School happens every Sunday morning at 9:20 a.m. in the 9th Avenue Youth Building. Classes are divided by grade level and gender.

Youth Music Ministry
The Son Seekers encompasses grades 6-12 and lead worship three times a month (primarily at the 8:00 a.m. service). A choir tour in June focuses on a program with a strong Christian message. The Son Seekers rehearse Sunday afternoon from 4:30 - 5:30 on the Summit campus.

"Fusion" -- A Ministry for Youth
Youth come together on Sunday nights to experience a time of worship, fellowship, and teachings of God's Word. Here, we hope to bring youth from all over, in differents journeys of life, to a place that they feel welcomed, loved, and accepted....a place where they can "Fuse" with Jesus Christ and His Kingdom, and experience all that He has to offer. The youth (6th - 12th grade) gather for "Fusion" on Sunday nights from 5:30 until 7:30 pm in the Youth Lounge at Cokesbury's Summit Campus. For more information, call Kristen at 748-8351.

Meltdown
Meltdown is an annual spiritual retreat for youth and is sponsored by the Pensacola District of the United Methodist Church. Youth from all over northwest Florida and south Alabama gather at the Boardwalk Beach Resort in Panama City for a January weekend of inspiring Bible teaching and fantastic Christian rock concerts. Meltdown is open to grades 6-12.
